It's the residents that keep me going back.

Yesterday I tried to feed a resident, but she was dozing. So I called her name a few times. She woke up. She immediantly accused me of stealing her boyfriend. I apologized for doing so, said she could have him back and pointed out that her food was getting cold. Then not only had a stolen her boyfriend, but I had kicked her brother out onto the streets. By the end of the meal I was being teased by the other staff that I was a hussy.

Today she had wandered out of the dining room so I went to get her. She said she had to go to the bathroom so I took her. Suddenly I was an angel. I helped her eat and she kept telling me how wonderful I was.

An hour and a half later she came up to me. She was very upset. She accused me of lying to her. I reminded her that she'd like me a little bit before. No, I am evil. Apparently I promised her I'd take her home with me and now I wasn't going to. She also nicknamed me fuzzy.

This was the highlight of my day as the rest of my day was an exercise in scrambling and frustration.
