Simmer:
Hera isn’t sure why Chopper is grumbling about a bakery until she steps into the galley. She pauses to savor the smell of pastries as she watches Kanan bite into a sticky bun. He indicates the box. She arches her eyebrow.
Kanan chews, swallows, then tells her. “I got everything on the list. Ty’s bakery had your favorite.”
Kanan indicates the box again, before taking another large bite of his pastry. Hera lifts the lid and smiles. Maybe she can sit and eat before she and Chopper begin repairs.
“Thanks love,” she says, before leaning in. His lips taste sweet.
