Oh no! I'm glad you're okay after all that, but it sounds like a lot to deal with! I hope you can find a stove you like at a decent price. My only suggestion is that glass tops can be hard to keep looking nice, but if you can find one with a speckled matte finish it'll hide fingerprints and such better than the shiny ones. (Source: my mom has had both, and complains endlessly about the new, shiny one compared to the old speckled one that she recently had to replace.)
