I like Glee.

I started watching last year after the radio program I occasionally listened to on the way into class had a discussion of the ‘gay kiss’ that had occurred on the show. People were in an uproar, other were ‘well they had a lesbian kiss last week, what’s the big deal?’ so needless to say I was intrigued. Of course they were talking about the Kurt/Dave kiss. I checked out the show and was quickly addicted and joined in the fandom fun.

As much as I enjoy Glee there are a few things from last season that I felt could’ve been done better. One of these things is Dave redeeming himself. I assumed (and don’t we all know what that does to us, assuming), but still I did, that part of this would be Dave accepting himself and coming out. While I think the show allowed Kurt to move past what Dave had done to him I never got the feeling that Dave was comfortable with himself.

Of course this is where fanfic comes in and this fic delivers! It’s a season 2 rewrite where Dave comes out before he gets out of hand towards Kurt. The kiss still happens, but this is addressed and done well. It is Kurt/Dave. The progression is slow and each of them has a chance to heal.

I’d recommended the entire series by poetikat.

The first fic has Dave and several other students attend a challenge day where he comes out. It’s called Nothing to Fear But Fear Itself.

The season 2 rewrite is called Grace Under Pressure, Courage Under Fire.

Met my mom for dinner today. Only one real awkward moment, but I managed to smooth it over, I think.

But got sick on the way home, to the point where concentrating and finishing this English assignment that is due by 5p tomorrow was completely and totally a not going to happen situation. Which is bad when I was looking at working 6:30a to 7p tomorrow. Therefore I called off. Hopefully I'm feeling better tomorrow.

I want these midterms done before the bunnies drive me crazy. I am 4000 words into a new fic, which I'm totally not posting until it's finished. It's Glee/BTVS/QaF and somehow I started with a vauge outline and two songs...now I have a semi solid series idea and 4 songs to put in this fic. Why is it when I write something, even just a piece I intend to be a oneshot, I have to fully develop the world I'm writing in? Seriously this thing just keeps expanding. I even have two ideas on how to cross it over with HP. *bangs head* Though Sam is adorable in this. Also Lauren. Kurt is more clueless than I like him. Blaine needs all the h/c in the world, somehow Dave is a werewolf and Brittany saves the day a lot. My only huge concern is that Molly Taylor will come off Mary-Sue since she didn't have a lot of time in the series and I have epic friendship between her Sam and Hunter, they consider themselves all cousins. IDEK

Also Justin and Dustin are demanding their part of Confessions and Consequences. I know the last chapter is going to be centered on Zack and Jason with strong Zack/Jason overtones of Jason is in love with Zack and Zack is utterly clueless and distracted because hello new red. I have one other story planned for this series and several ideas. I really need to get moving on this one.

Everyone Accounted For series keeps bugging me too. I need to write the next part of Learning to be a Team because Zhane keeps poking me wanting his 'I become an awesome big brother' fic. Jason keeps pushing for more making out with Andros. There is also a one shot in my head that is all about Billy and his issues while also going heaving on Andros angst. There is another that is TJ centered that goes into wacky ideas about Justin and how being a kid ranger can really mess with your life.

There is also this Percy Jackson crossover from the glee cross meme that won't leave me alone. I fully intend a one-shot, but of course I have the whole world developed and know what would happen after that oneshot.

Basically I just need to write.
