Two of my fics recently got podfics!

Hope the World Keeps Its Balance Is a Shaak pov where Boba asks Shaak to help rescue Jango and then Jango and Shaak flirt. The podfic is here and I really like how korechthonia captured how stressed Boba is.

Reason is a Boil/Waxer fic where they share their first kiss. The podfic is here and I really like how kbirb captures how grumpy Boil is.

I just realized I haven't flailed or squeed about some awesome fics lately!

My birthday was a month ago! thesecondbatgirl gifted me with this amazing Boil/Waxer get married ficlet that you can find here. I cried. They got married and exchanged vows and it's so beautiful!

I'm really grateful I saw something on Tumblr talking about putting a blanket statement in your profile on AO3 with permission for podfic, art, and translations because since I've done that three of my fics now have podfic! I never thought one of my Stargate fics would get a podfic, but one did! GodofLaundryBaskets made podfic of my Teal'c centric the team comes together to find him a way off base. So back in 2004 when I big into X-men and Generation X and had barely scratched the surface of being into comics I wrote a Jono centric fic about Jono deciding to leave the X-mansion while he is depressed. He's mourning Ang and in a relationship with Bobby. Of course this was back during that whole secondary mutation storyline where Bobby was going through a lot! Back in March I got my first AO3 comment on this fic. Fellowshipper asked to write a sequel and of course I said sure! And then I didn't read the sequel. I was in a non-reading funk, which is kinda similar to I can't seem to beta funk, and lets just say 2020 into 2021 was not good for my mental health and leave it at that. Anyway, I finally read this fic and you guys it's brilliant! Totally captured the tone of the fic I wrote, but expanded on it and just brought a really great closure to the Jono and Bobby. Star Wars:

Since watching Rebels I've been wanting Rex and Luke meet and this fic Ghosts of Endor by merfilly and ilyena_sylph was exactly what I needed. It's Rex at the celebration on Endor reeling a bit from his past, cause canon PTSD, and meeting Luke and the two of them talk a bit and it really felt like the start of a friendship that they both are needing at that point in their lives. It was fantastic.

For the past_imperfect exchange I got post S4 Rebels gen fic that follows what happens to Ezra after the finale. There's time travel involved and he gets pulled in the Sequel time where he quickly meets Jacen Syndulla. It's gen and so amazing. Many a Winding Turn by ambiguously.

GLOW:

My favorite pairing on GLOW is Cherry/Keith. I adore their dynamic! For yuletide I got Hello world! I'm your wild girl by Elasmo. It's how Cherry and Keith meet on set when Cherry is having a rough day being a stunt double. Cherry is her badass self while having to put up with some ridiculous working conditions, Keith helps her out afterwards in his typical kinda way. It's from Cherry's POV and the moment she realizes she's attracted to Keith was so perfect!

The Flash:

I really enjoy Lisa/Cisco and this fic I was gifted for the multifandomtropefest was everything I'd ever want in a Lisa breaks into Cisco's apartment to ask for help and it takes them a moment to trust each other, but they're attracted to each other and slowly build their trust for each other. They actually talk! Communication is a thing I love in fic so seeing characters communicate and having some hurt comfort just makes a fic that much more an amazing read. I really enjoyed Maybe This Time by Sandrine Shaw.

snowflake_challenge Day 2: Rec at least three fanworks that you didn’t create.

1. Knowledge and the Powers by tptigger. Danny finds out he's a wizard, a Teen Wolf/So You Want to Be a Wizard crossover. I really like how this fic gets Danny involved in the goings on around Beacon Hills. Also Prada is awesome.

2. Not in Kansas (anymore) by nirejseki. Martha Kent kinda sorta adopts a young Mick Rory. He and Clark consider themselves brothers.

3. firefly by peradi. BB8's pov while the team is exploring Scarif. R2-D2 is a swear bot. Everyone loves Finn. K-2SO gets rescued. This is pre Solo's release.

I've gotten some really nice gift fics lately and I wanted to rec a few.

Fandom Growth exchange just opened and I got this lovely Natasha/Hope fic! It opens mid Civil War and does a great job of getting into Natasha's head and the dangers she faced because of the break down of the Avengers. Of course Hope helps her out. I liked that you can see how strong both women are, but that's not why they're attracted to each other. You can find it here.

For the Femslash Exchange I received a Natasha/Pepper coffee shop AU that is excellently done from Pepper's pov. It really captures that feeling of working in the service industry. Of course Natasha is mysterious and lovely as always. Then she lets Pepper into the little family she's built for herself and it feels like the world is going to open up for Pepper. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this fic. You can find it here.

I also got an SGU fic centered around Vanessa James! It goes into how hopeless Vanessa feels when they're first stranded on Destiny, which is so very canon. Then it builds from there, showing her settling into the routine of life aboard Destiny and explores this through her relationship with the kinos. It was amazing! You can read it here.

I got an amazing Dark Matter fic in the space_swap exchange. It's full of team as family feels as the group stops for a supply run and then decides to stay for the autumn festival. You can find it here

I just had the most amazing two fics written for me!

For the J/D ficathon I got Hands Down Or by Em! It's an amazing look at Jack and Daniel sharing Jack's body. It's got playful banter, bickering, snark and them figuring out their feelings for each other. Their team tries to help too! Go read it! It's such a fun read!

For rarepair I got The Importance of Utilizing Proper Signage and authors haven't been revealed yet. I should only need to say this: Samurai Coffee Shop AU! From the name of the coffee shop to Jayden's pov this fic is amazing! It has Jayden and Antonio wanting each other but having trouble finding the words, amazing sibling moments with Lauren, their dad even has a part! Emily and Mia are all cutesy with each other, Mike flirts with Kevin and Ji gets the last line.

So rarewomen happened and I got this amazing fic! It's a Glee/BtVS fusion where Lauren is a werewolf...other stuff happens, but there is this whole sense of family/pack that is amazing and I don't want to give anything away so you should just go read it! I love it!

Also shigeki_jkp is really nice and made me this awesome icon of my fav Avengers char! Isn't is shiny? I must now write tons of fic to go with it! Thank you again!

I participated in gleesummerfun and am so very glad that I did because I just got this! It is so very shiny and so very pretty that words cannot completely express my joy with it.

It has Blaine/Kurt from Burt's pov and I love the voice that the author gave Burt. I'm so very happy that I did this exchange.
