Happy Holidays to everyone!
Yesterday was interesting. It was cold, very cold and my car was stuck at the end of the driveway. Our driveway however had been plowed by out neighbor Tim.
He is awesome. He's in his forties and recently got married for the first time. He plows our driveway, and my parents without asking for anything in return.
Anyway yesterday, walked back to my parents house, they'r enot far away for a shower. I decided to call into work because well you know, car is stuck. I didn't think I was going to be late, but I didn't really know. Needless to say with the snow, business at Taco Bell was having problems. All the day people called off. Our GM and district manager were the ones running the store, and they were both on vacation. So I took a quick shower, somehow managed to struggle my car out of the driveway and took myself to work three hours early. Things were so dire, one of the owners (there are three) had come in and was running front register and making food. I got situated and took drive-thru from the district manager. Kim, the Gm, when and got Kenny and Dewon and brough them in. So it turned out okay.
Oh and the best part of yesterday (well the 23rd)was the animals. I saw a mouse peaking out at the world inside an old boot track of mine as I was going back from my parents to get into my car. It spotted me and dove away, was kinda cool. Then at work we saw six deer, five does and one three pt buck. It was so beautiful.
Today (24th) was okay. Got up early, went to work. Found out my Aunt drove here, her flight yesterday got canceled due to the weather. Kenny liked the present I got him. I thought he would, but was't sure. Then I went to my family thing. I got some money, which was nice. Also a day planner, that is kind dry erase. Which is good, it's almost a mini-purse. I got some make-up. The only odd thing was my mom's parents got me a vest. It's a very um manly looking vest, but its okay. I'm not sure what they were thinking. I also got this shirt that's patriotic...it has the world America emblazed on the front. I haven't decided if I'm keeping the vest or not, but the t-shirt is so going to be donated. I plan to go through all my clothes and donate to either goodwill or salvation army and that shirt is going to be one of the first in the pile. I thought it was a brand name type shirt when I first saw it. I try to make an effort not to wear labels. I'll admit I have a few. I have a pair of adias sandels that I ganked from my brother when he no longer fit into them. I have a gap shoulder bag and a prada purse. That's honestly it. So the shirt kinda threw me. Blah Blah Blah...it's just a shirt. It was nice of them to attempt to cloth me and it was nice that they got me a t-shirt cause it shows they understand my simple style of jeans and a t-shirt, unlike my mom who wants me dressing more like a proper girl. I think sometimesshe wished I turned out more like my cousins, with a big girly streak. Oh well I'm me and the clothes she bought me aren't bad. I'll probably end up keeping most of them.
There is more I want to say about things that happend tonight. I want to contempt when my cousin landed on my on the sofa and just laid there with me awhile and my dad covered us with blankets. It was amusing. I want to ask if anyone else ever wonders if this is could turn out to be the last major holiday with their relative. My mom's family doesn't know I'm gay and she asked me not to tell them. I can't really see good reactions from some. I want to mention my cousin Niki's surpised look when I said descirbe Brian Molko as a really really hot guy. She's just starting to suspect I like women, so I think that threw her. I'd like to throw a fit because my much older male cousin gave me a kiss on the lips goodbye when all I intended to give him was a hug. I'm think I'm going to shudder, ick and try to supress. I want to go one and on about how happy and great it is that my aunt is here. Instead I'm going to post a quiz, write some then maybe catch a nap before the family thing today (the 25th)
