Came downstairs, after a failed attempt at a nap, and my Grandma was watching an old western from the thirties. This man was saying goodbye to his woman. She gave his best friend a hug goodbye, they said their goodbyes and she was loaded up. As she was being driven away she turned back and told the best friend to take care of her man. He called back, "Don't worry, I'll tuck him into bed every night." Her man gave him a look. It made me smile.
It was warm today, warm enough to wear short sleeves and no coat. After months of snow and the sleet of last week it was a welcome change. Came home from school and our neighbor had plowed the land he plants on. It made my heart leap into my throat, it was such a welcome sight.
Rented some movies, mostly to leave a work for the residents, but bought De-Lovely and another gay movie I've never seen for myself. Also splurged and got the third season of Oz, which I shouldn't have done, but I'm addicted now and wanted to know what was going to happen next. Skipped my evening class, without thinking that the next time I'm suppose to go to that class I'll be out of town in Pittsburg with my writing class. We're going to sit in on a graduate class and a few other things. I get to be a driver, which is going to upset my family, and kinda sucks because apperantly I'm the only one in the class who knows how to drive stick, so no one else'll be able to take a shift at the wheel at all. Saw my brother and his girlfriend today, actually got to say more than five words to him, which is unsual as of late. Also visited Alan up his job. We talked about music and writing and I have to admit to being stunned into silence when he mentioned Placebo. He gave me this look and was all how can you not know who Placebo. I managed to find my voice and tell him they're my current favorite band. Speaking of Placebo...such a sad sequey, James still has my DVD...which I miss horribly. Miss James too, haven't talked to him in days.
