Had a big day. It was brilliant, well mostly brilliant, but we are so not going into the not brilliant moments. I've been planning for weeks to take one of the residents out, to give him a full day outing. Start small with a hair cut and lunch from McDonalds.
Then we went to the Zoo. I took nearly an entire disposable camera full of pics of him with different animals in the background, or just animals. Haven't developed them yet, but I hope a few of them come out good so his mom can have some. Also stopped for a snack of an icee. I got one blue and one red. He decided he wanted the red one. I also once again added to his stuffed animal collection (he really doesn't have that many, but this is the second I've gotten him) with a white tiger that he picked out. First I asked him if he wanted a monkey and he said yes. Then I saw the tiger and picked it up. I asked if he wanted it instead. He said yes, grabbed if from my hand, kissed it and threw it on the floor. (This is also what he did with the monkey I gave him when I took him on a doctor's appt) I told him since he'd kissed it he had to take it home. He continued on teaching me how to properly play fetch for him the rest of the time he had it until we were in the parking lot, then he decided that yes it was going home with him.
I of course returned him home with shorn hair and all stickie from icee. (okay, okay I admit I gave cleaned him up before I left...geez, do you think I would actually leave someone sticky?)
Anyway had a wonderful day.
