I don't know what's up with me lately. I barely sleep lately, but I'm in a writing mood and that usually does it. I'm zoning out a lot thinking about what I'm working on, but its writing and that always makes me feel good even with the lack of sleep. So I guess I can't complain.

Got my test results back. After the needle stick at work when it became clear that the most they were going to do was to take me aside and tell me that the resident didn't have anything I had my doctor run blood tests just to be safe. They came back and I'm clean which was a big sigh of relief. Now I just have to do them again in six months and as long as the results stay the way they then hey no harm done. It might even be a blessing in a way because after that day the lab tech has improved not only with being more careful what with interacting with the residents, reasuring them and generally being a lot more pleasent.

My cousin Logan's being watched by all of us this week so his mom can spend time with her new boyfriend. I had him most of Monday and I'd forgotten how wonderful everything is when you're two. His uncles empty shoe box kept him occupied for half an hour and the throwing rocks into the creek and making them go 'plop' was the best thing ever to him. He's smart too, learned really fast when I showed him how to do something. And I played some of the word games I do with one of my residents to get him used to saying new words. It was fun, but exhausting. It also reinforced that one day I want to have a kid of my own. My grandma told me to hurry it up already, lol...I keept telling her she had to wait till I graduate, well at least until I have my RN.
