I know, I know, most people don't like Mondays...it's the start of their work week. The last day of my work week is Sunday. Did I mention I work every Fri-Sun and do 12 hour shifts each day. This weekend we ran short...and I ended up staying over to help out. Today my allergies are acting up so not only am I sore and tired I woke up with a sinus headache and a sore through. The headache is down to a dull pressure but the sore throat has decided to stay. Meh, can't wait till class is over I'm going to veg and either watch tv or write when I get home.

I know, I know...I'm an odd one, but I like going to class. I have two good teachers this semester and two classes I'm enjoying so far, not to mention a lab. I love lab. I thought I loved Chem lab, but then this semester I was introduced to the wonders of Microbiology lab and lets just say that Chem pales in comparison. Besides I got my first lab coat! Have a lamented yet about how thrilling that was? It wasn't as exciting for me as my first pair of scrubs, but it still gave me a thrill. Yeah, yeah I'm a complete dork...but its a lab coat and near the end of the semester they're going to give us two unknowns and we have to figure out what they are so yeah I really like lab.

Anyway today...I still have a sore throat, but I'm hoping that goes away by tomorrow since it's just an allergy thing cause I really don't need another sinus infection that turns itself into bronchitis...once this year was enough thank you very much.

Micro today distracted me almost enough to forget about feeling awful cause it was Monday, except I was slightly stressed because I was supposed to have a study session with my lab partner and still had Math homework and wasn't sure I would fit it all in. Well my lab partner bailed on me so the homework got done. This meant I was able to relax and learn the new stuff in Math.

Plus I hummed a few lines of 'Singin' in the Rain' which I tend to do when I'm in a bad mood because it cheers me up. The musical version that Gene Kelly sang is usually the way I go in my head...though if I'm in a partically twisted mood I go with the Stanley Kubrick version. Also thought of this funny song that one of my residents occasionally sings and that put a smile on my face. It also helped that the char that was having a panic at me finally stopped and I was able to write something. Writing always makes things better.
