Twix is a kitten. A calico kitten to be exact. I haven't ranted or raved about the dilemia (at least I don't think I've ever gone into full details) of getting G-mom a new cat. G-mom is the grandma that I live with. Last winter our calico Cutie died of old age and since then G-mom has said we would get one in the spring...well it's July. You would not believe the trouble of finding a calico because our new kitten had to be a calico. There are a few reasons for this. One, calico's are always female. Two, as far as my grandma is concerned they are the best mousers and my grandma isn't about to have a cat around that's lazy and doesn't go out and kill stuff. My parents went to the APL and after a harrowing experience with an older cat they took that cat back, with the vets advice that they do so, and picked up our new little kitten. She is adorable, but tiny. The feral cat my mom loves on, Little Miss would eat her for lunch, well okay not literally, but she would beat her up. Therefore she's staying in the garage until she gets bigger and has decided we're her humans. When I open the garage door she runs right to me and then purrs the whole time I hold her. We have a visit with the vet for rest of her shots (the ones the APL didn't give her) tomorrow.
