Class yeah six straight hours of it...

Class this week was interesting this week. Monday we had our first clinical and part of that was we each have an assigned teaching session. I volunteered to go the first week and picked the topic STD's. I also decided to go over a few facts of STD's but concentrate on teaching it since we're all nursing students and know where to look for the facts, but may not be comfortable in teaching. One of the things I brought up was that they would see a wide variety of students and that not everyone would be heterosexual or homosexual. To provide a of background for this idea I of course brought in my Kinsey book, which is the female book. The rest of the students found the point interesting and seemed to take it in. My teacher geeked out over my book. I am bringing it in next week so she can look at it again. :) It's nice when someone else understands the 'wow must have the psych text' thing.

Tues is my free/study day and I was blah exhausted with a sore throat all day. So it wasn't a huge surprise when I woke up Wed with a full blown sinus infection...on the day of the test. Made a doctor's appt, called my teacher and once she heard how stuffy I was and what med I'd taken to relieve it she was all 'don't take the test today' and offered me today in the am.

Feeling a bit better today. I went in took my test and decided to stay for class. At class I realized it was a Thurs/Fri class and I was basically getting the lecture I'd missed the day before. So at break I asked if I could make up what I missed by staying and then coming back for my class. So basically I had six hours of nursing class today over all the chapters for next week. I came home with my brain feeling fried and every plan I had to get other homework done went out the window. I crashed for 2 hours, woke up cause of a weird nightmare and then started watching the English Patient for my English class (we are comparing the films to the novels). Now I am hoping work will go good tomorrow so I can come home and do homework.
