I've only just started listening to Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover on audiobook. I've seen it praised before on Twitter and Tumblr, but wow is it really good. I like the Anakin/Padme reunite a lot better than what was in the movie. One thing that was odd to me was when they're in the lift shaft Anakin watches his lightsaber fall away and has a moment of 'thank goodness Obi-Wan is knocked out and can't lecture me about losing my lightsaber,' but in the next scene he has his lightsaber. I really loved the introspection into Mace and how he sees shatterpoints.
I've also just started The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune which I saw recced on
fandomsecrets and it's a delight so far. I've been reading a few books lately that blend the modern world with the supernatural world: Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger and Vial Things by Leah Clifford before this book so I almost feels like I've got a fun theme going. This one has a dystopia tilt to it, but Goodreads is promising me found family and it seems that the author writes queer books so I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. I'm really liking all the characters so far and there's a cat, Calliope.
I've seen several Tumblr posts about a clone character Glitch who believes he's force sensitive. It took me a moment to find the comic. Defenders of the Lost Temple by Justin Aclin. I was really grateful when I could get it through an inter-library loan because when I finally found someone selling a copy after looking at that option first they wanted over $100. It's a one shot aimed at children...um no. It's a delightful story. Glitch didn't disappoint and I really loved Rennax, the padawan character.
