*sigh*

I was right. I don't like being right in this instance.

The family Easter thing is at one and I worked last night and am to go in early today. I also have homework. My mom had left mutliple messages on my phone reminding me of the diner, I called her back yesterday arranging for my grandma to get a ride with her to my Aunt Dot's. I told her I would be too tired to drive and that if I was up that I would go, but due to work I would most likely be asleep. My Grandma decided this was a good idea, wasn't going to call me down to wake up when she got home from church and was planning on fixing me a plate to bring home.

My mom just called me to make sure I was up because she didn't want my Grandma waking me up with only five minutes to get ready to go. Because you know I was planning on going. (sarcasm is my friend) I'm tired. I work a twelve hour shift tonight and I have homework to finish. So it was a good thing I didn't lay down and go to sleep like I've been wanting to do since I got home. It looks like I'll be crawling on top of what used to be my great great aunt's bed and catching a nap there instead of under the covers at my own bed. Oddly enough it'll probably be worth it to see the family I don't get to see unless my Aunt Dot is doing something. Still I wish my mom had listened to me yesterday and I wish I had some non make her and my dad angry way of pointing out that just because I'm not at work doesn't mean I'm avaliable for family functions. One would think the falling asleep at most of them would be a strong hint, but then I guess subtlty isn't my strong point.

However on the happy side I told my grandma I didn't want anything for Easter and she got me a pretty bag and put a nice box of Dove cookies in it. After the long night I had at work it put a smile on my face.
