Have you ever had the experience where you're so caught up in what you're doing that when you finally have the chance to look around you several things have gone to hell and you're simply left going wtf and wishing you'd been there for someone and not caught up in what you yourself were doing?

As soon as I found out my brother's girlfriend had been in a car accident I called him and they both reasurred me that she was okay.
