I haven't been feeling well all day. I skipped my lecture and went to my lab. I'd sent my teacher an e-mail and he was suprised to see me at lab. He thought I was just dropping off what needed to be turned in and leaving, told me I could leave, but I stayed to work with my lab partner. The lab this week is just looking up information and making models of different chemical so I figured I might as well get it done. Turned out the book he provided for us to look in for the infromation didn't have it so he told us to find one that did. My lab partner and I looked over everything, got a bit frustrated and decided to look it up seperately tonight then get together after class tomorrow.

Work isn't going to well. They just announced several changes. Everyone but the STNA's and the floor nurses are having their hours cut. So thankfully I'm an STNA and my hours won't be cut. Since they're cutting the kitchen staffs hours the STNA's are lossing their helpers and all those people are not dining assitants. Our wages are being freezed, I believe that was the term, so no raises. I would be up for one in October. Then yesterday we got a letter in our check saying that they would no longer be matching funds in the 401(k) accounts. They said that they hoped this measure will only be temporary. We've already lost several aids. A few have just walked out, some have gone to other facilities just a few miles away that are paying more. I was told that one is paying almost a dollar more than I'm making now for new aide. It's scary because lately we've had to work short handed.

I'm also having trouble with one of my student loans. Before I went to CSU I took out some loans with Sallie Mae to pay for the community college I was going to. I have been attempting to pay on the interest and was even paying more than the interest that had accumulated. How much I owe them has gone down by about 2000 dollars. My interest rates have gone down. How much interest that is accumulating per month has gone up about 200 dollars. I paid it last month thinking that maybe the bills crossed in the mail. No, they are charging me the same amount of interest this month, but how much I own them has gone down by about 300 dollars. I called. It took me explaining my problem about five times before the woman handling my called said that she had found a discrepancy and how much I owe them per month should be significantly lower. She said she would have someone look into it for me and they would get back to me. I got an e-mail. The e-mail they sent me explains how interst accumulates. Apparently I don't understand that. Apparently if you owe them less, your interest rates go down, more dept accumualtes. Apparently it is perfectly normal that they are charging me nearly 400 dollars a month in interest.

I leui of baning my head against the nearest wall I'm going to go get dinner, pay my bills, then do my homework.
