Kenobi was written to be a Western in space. I also found it racist. The author tried to make it not be, but failed.
I recommend Dooku: Jedi Lost. It's an audiodrama about Dooku's life as a Jedi and the script was published late last year.
Soule's Darth Vader comics are decent; they start seconds after RotS ends and details some parts of the first couple years of the Empire (there are time skips), somewhat focused on the Purge. The second trade is my favorite; Jocasta Nu is awesome.
