femslashficlets prompt door.
Intention:
After ensuring that her charges, a young Twi’lek boy and a barely walking Mon Calamari girl, are safely asleep Sugi enters the main room of Root Core and watches as Clare continues to look through a book. They have books made of actual paper here! It’s just her and Clare in the room.
“Were did your friends go?” Sugi asks.
Clare stills, then grimaces. The Human woman pushes her blonde hair out of her face. “Well, we determined an Inquisitor shouldn’t be able to recreate what I did, so we’re safe, you’re safe, but we haven’t figured out how I accidently opened a door to your dimension, reality, um…universe, yet…so the rest of the Rangers left for the night, they’ll be back in the morning.”
Sugi nods her understanding, then admits, “I’ll take safe at this point. The way my ship was dead in space and they were tearing it apart to find the kids, you saved our lives.”
Clare flushes. It’s fascinating.
“Did you managed to convince them I’m not a Jedi?” Clare asks.
“It helps that I’ve met one,” Sugi says non-committedly. The younglings are convinced that Clare saved all of them, so they haven’t quite been persuaded that she isn’t a Jedi, yet. Sugi tilts her head, regarding Clare with accessing eyes. If she can convince Clare to come with her, then the likelihood that she’ll survive while helping to hide force sensitive children will increase.
Clare wets her lips. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“I’m plotting,” Sugi answers.
“Plotting?” Clare swallows.
“Your friends would be safe without you?” Sugi smirks slowly.
“Yes,” Clare says, brow wrinkling in confusion.
“Then I think I should let you know that I intend to seduce you,” Sugi warns.
“Seduce me?” Clare laughs. There’s nervousness in her laugh, but want in her eyes. “Why would you want to seduce me?”
“It’d be fun for both of us,” Sugi tells her. “It’s also the best way to ensure you’ll want to come with me when I leave. Where I’m from, we could use your help.”
“I know,” Clare acknowledges. “You need all the help you can get, but my skills are still in development. I still need a lot of practice. I want to go with you. I want to help, but I’m not sure how much help I’ll be.”
“You already saved three lives,” Sugi encourages.
Clare nods, face going determined. “I’ll go with you then, no seduction required.”
“And if I still want to seduce you?”
Clare’s smile makes Sugi’s breath catches.
