The Cuddle Seduction:

Dustin is sleeping sprawled out on top of Hunter with his face peaceful. Hunter raises his eyebrows and Shane rolls his eyes. Hunter glowers. Shane resists the temptation to roll his eyes harder. He knows he needs to be the leader here. They were planning to train, but Lothar has been running them ragged lately, maybe some downtime is in order.

“What time does he have to be home?” Shane asks.

Hunter shrugs. Dustin shift, burrowing his face against Hunter’s shoulder before resettling.

“Don’t wake him up,” Shane orders, voice low. Hunter rolls his eyes as he also runs a reassuring hand over Dustin’s back.

Tori comes bounding down the stairs, starts to ask about their training plan, but stops her question as soon as she realizes Dustin is asleep. Her hands go to her hips as she regards the situation. Hunter tilts his head to look at her, his arms still around Dustin. Tori turns to Shane. “Doesn’t he have to be home for his sister?”

Shane nods. “Parents are out of town. He’s supposed to be there to meet the bus.”

Tori checks the time, then grabs Dustin’s phone. “I’ll set an alarm for him.”

“And I’m just supposed to lie here and be his bed?” Hunter objects.

Shane stills. “Wait, I thought you two were dating?”

“We are,” Hunter says slowly.

“Do you not want to cuddle?” Tori asks, as she puts Dustin’s phone back. “Cause Shane or I can step in, if that’s the issue.”

Hunter frowns.

“I volunteer as well,” Cam says. Shane turns. Cam’s standing in the door way, yawning. There’s a green blanket around his shoulders.

“Do you have more blankets?” Tori grins.

Cam nods. “I’ll get them.”

“Are we training, napping, or getting the day off?” Tori prods as she turns to Shane. She pulls out her phone and waves it at him. “I’ll tell Blake.”

Hunter sighs, glaring at all of them.

“You didn’t answer the question,” Shane needles.

Hunter rolls his eyes. “I don’t mind cuddling, but I don’t want you mocking me for it.”

“We’re not mocking,” Tori points out, before she turns to Shane. “Were we mocking? Have you been mocking?”

Shane holds up his hands and shakes his heads. “I wasn’t mocking. Dustin takes cuddling very seriously.”

“He’s a very good cuddler,” Tori agrees, turning back to Hunter. Somehow she manages to keep her face calm and serious. Shane is struggling not to smile. Hunter grumbles, but his hold on Dustin doesn’t abate.

Cam come back in with an armful of blankets and Shane goes to help him. Tori takes a yellow one and lays it over Dustin. Cam yawns again. “If we’re taking the day off I’m going to bed.”

“We were considering a team cuddle pile,” Tori tells him.

Cam blinks at her, then considers the couch that Hunter and Dustin are on. “That’ll fold down, but it’ll only hold three or four people comfortably. I’d rather be in my own bed.”

“Will your bed hold six?” Tori asks.

Cam stares.

Shane bites his lip to keep from laughing. Tori’s eyes have gone wide, which Shane knows means she’s struggling not to laugh too.

“You’re serious?” Cam questions.

“Do I not look serious?” Tori raises her eyebrows.

“Dustin take cuddling very seriously,” Shane puts in, attempting to help. Cam needs to believe them soon or he and Tori are going to burst out laughing and ruin the joke. Hunter stares at the two of them, then looks at Cam. Cam raises his eyebrows at Hunter. Hunter shrugs. Shane presses his lips together. Tori elbows him and glares. Shane nods and tugs at his shirt.

“I will work on that problem,” Cam says slowly. “After I have a nap, I’ll figure out how to make us a bed big enough for all of us to cuddle in.”

Hunter’s eyes go wide as Cam turns away. Cam hitches his blanket back around his shoulders more comfortably before heading down the hall, muttering about teammates and how he’s not sure this is what he signed up for.

“You were joking,” Hunter hisses at them. “Weren’t you joking?”

“You don’t want to cuddle with us?” Tori turns large hurt eyes onto Hunter.

Hunter snorts. “Now I know you’re joking.”

“Dinner at Dustin’s house?” Shane suggest.

Tori nods. “Good idea.”

“Don’t forget his sister’s a vegetarian,” Hunter puts in.

“I know. I can work with that,” Tori grins as she heads back up the stairs.

That leave him and Hunter staring at each other. Hunter glances down at Dustin and then smirks at Shane. “Jealous?”

“What?” Shane hisses.

“Sure, you’re his best friend, but I get to make out with him.”

Shane stares at Hunter. Part of him wants to call Hunter out of being crass, rude, but the truth is he’s thought about making out with Hunter. Suddenly he’s thinking about making out with Dustin and Hunter. Shane shakes his head, trying to dispel the thought. “You’re an ass.”

“Did I say I wasn’t?” Hunter snorts. “And you have no ground to stand on after the way you and Tori just teased Cam.”

“We’re going to get a bed big enough for the whole team to cuddle out of it,” Shane says. “That wasn’t teasing, that was being strategic.”

“Well you heard him, this couch can hold three,” Hunter challenges.

Shane rolls his eyes, but presses the button that will unlock the couch and then pulls the leg rest upwards so the whole thing will lay flat. Dustin lifts his head blinking. “What just…what time is it? I have to be home by…”

“Tori set an alarm,” Shane reassures as Hunter runs a hand up Dustin’s arm.

“Tori was here?” Dustin ask blearily.

“Yeah,” Hunter says, leaning in to kiss Dustin’s forehead.

“We have training,” Dustin protests. He still sounds half asleep.

“New plan,” Shane declares as he dumps the blankets onto the couch and toes out of his shoes. “We’re taking the afternoon off.”

“New plan,” Hunter echoes. “We’re seducing Shane.”

“With cuddles?” Dustin asks.

Shane rearranges the blankets as Hunter winds his fingers into Dustin’s curls. Shane watches as the two of them kiss slowly. While they kiss Dustin’s hand reaches back for him. Shane catches his hand and squeezes, lets himself be tugged closer. It takes a moment to rearrange, to find a comfortable way for Dustin to fit between them. Then Dustin is kissing him, slow and deep. Shane sinks into the feeling. Then Dustin shifts back and Hunter kisses him with the same intensity as their sniping with each other. Shane laughs. “Wasn’t the whole point of this to let Dustin sleep?”

“Dude,” Dustin breaths. “This is more important than sleep.”

“More important than cuddling?” Hunter pods.

Dustin nods, eyes wide. “More important than even that.”

Hunter laughs. Shane smirks.
