Summary: Kix is grateful for Jesse after a long shift.
Grateful:
Kix presses his face against Jesse’s chest and breaths in. He thinks he manages to tell Jesse that he smells good.
“That’s because I made us take a shower after you got off shift,” Jesse reasons as his fingers comb through Kix’s hair. He misses Jesse tracing his lightning bolts, misses the feel of Jesse shaving them in the morning, but he can’t tell Jesse about his mission. Jesse kisses the top of his head. “Sleep Kix, I’ve got you.”
“I didn’t cry,” Kix mumbles. He’d almost, three times.
“Do you need to?”
Grateful, Kix snuggles closer. “Need sleep more.”
