It's been such a wonderful (please note the sarcasm) week.
They finally hired a new girl to work thirds and she was scheduled to start working with us Tuesday. Lucky me, I'd get to train her. (Which seems to be happening a lot lately when we have new hires) The question was of course: how long would she last? I was hoping for at least a week. Well I came into work on Tuesday...yep, she quit during orientation.
Wed...had a lab quiz. The wonderful thing was I wasn't feeling well, hadn't been all week...I'm just tired most of the time lately, but hey reason to get with it and schedule a doctor's appt in two weeks...oops gotten off topic. Anyway wonderful lab quiz. I felt prepared so I laid down on a nearby couch before class was to start. My cell phone was in my pocket, I know I check. I checked when I laid down. I checked when I got up. I even checked before I entered the class room. I took my quiz, my mind only went blank on one question. Put my hands back in my pockets after the quiz...no phone. After a frantic search and no luck, even with lost and found I replaced the phone. I think it's cute and hey it only cost twenty buck...my brother's verdict was I should have gotten something cooler. It's cute, I like it and well I paid for it so ha...I've got the last say.
Then this morning, work, lovely wonderful work. Where one of my residents, wasn't in the best mood this morning. He got on the bus. Then well, there was some scratches and a little bit of blood so the bus returned him to us. I was the one who got him off the bus. I greeted him, reasured him that he'd still go to work, asked to see his scratches and was generally making conversation when he snatched my glasses from my face and they broke in two.
Yep spent my entire morning replacing that. Which isn't so bad since it'd been three years since my last eye exam and they were able to fit me in. My insurance covered quite a bit and I'm happy with my new frames. I got one for everyday and then another for work. The work pair is more durable and flexible. Which I needed as this is the second time a resident has broken my glasses. Of course I needed to tape up the pair I have because my new pairs won't arrive for 7 to 10 business days.
Yep what a wondeful week. At least after work tonight I have the next three days off.
