I happen to be one of those people that has life goals. Basically it's just a list of things I'd like to do in my lifetime. Last night I accomplished one: Go to a Placebo concert. They're my favorite band, hence the goal.

She Wants Revenge opened for them, and they were awful. They didn't pay attention to the crowd, the lead singer was off in his own little world (he was um yeah wasted). Several people in the crowd were making fun of them, you could hear conversations as they played their set, one person was even yelling out slander and still the lead singer went on about how great the audience was right before they played their last two songs. It was difficult to understand him as well, as he had the mic too close to his mouth, the only time anything he said was distinguishable was when he counted to seven in one of the songs. Stef when he first walked out on stage and eyed the crowd had more stage pressence in that one instance than She Wants Revenge had the whole night.

Placebo though, was worth the wait. The crowd went wild. We all just started screaming and dancing. Being on the floor in the crowd like that was a new experience for me, and during She Wants Revenge my social anxiety disorder was bothering me, but then Placebo...when they came out and started to sing I forgot about everyting but them. Brian was gorgeous, Stef just commanded your attention and Steve had wonderful engery. Everyone song the crowd sang along to, and audience participation was made the center of Special K. Brian even yelled at us, 'Come on' and everyone got louder. They played sevearl songs from their new CD Meds, but also many of their old songs. It was absolutely brilliant, and I wouldn't have wanted to miss it for anything in the world. I'd even wait through She Wants Revenge another time just to see them.
