Mostly I bummed, read fanfic when I was supposed to be finishing up homework that's due tomorrow and studying for the test tomorrow. Mostly it's things I've learned in other classes so I feel semi-okay and the homework is halfway done. I'm going to set my alarm, wake up early and force myself to just finish. I should be fine.
Today is the day I give my younger cousin a ride to the nearby jr high school so he can go to his sports club...he's snow boards, it's a good thing. Well his school was canceled, but the school he does club with wasn't so he was still in need of a ride. Which was kinda nice because I could arrive early and we could get there instead of him rushing out of the car that drops him off at home, running inside grabbing his things, and then having him stress the entire drive that we won't make it in time.
Instead I found him happily watching Doctor Who and not about to leave until it was done. Of course I had to endure his panic of 'they killed Rose' when I came in. I didn't quite understand at first...he was at the second to last episode of S1 so I babbled about having the box sets and how he could borrow. This led to questions about Captain Jack and if he was in the next season, because he has to be because Jack is cool (oh yes, his words). So I told him that Jack gets his own series...now he wants to borrow Torchwood as well. I'm not sure how well that'll go over. Hh's 15, impressionable, and while it's not quite likely that his mom'll kill me my parents just might. They don't like any indication that I might be something other than straight. I'm also a bit worried that Torchwood might be a smidgen too adult for him. *shrug* Will cross that bridge when I come to it, he might not end up borrowing it and I'll likely only let him borrow one set at a time...so it might take him some time and I'm determined not to worry about it just yet. At least he was happy and bouncy and loved the end of the episode and was clearly disappointed that he had to leave and therefore couldn't watch the last episode. I can't help that it's amusing watching another family member have a moment over a fandom you love. Now if I could just corrupt some of them into writing fanfic instead of occasionally reading mine...
When I got to Chemistry I found that everyone had been given three extra points on the last exam. This moves my B to an A. There was much joy.
My continued good mood improved when I managed the halfway point in my homework and then found some more good fanfic to read. I needed a break.
I am finding myself increasingly fustrated with my writing though. The four-part series that I thought I had stories two and three done one and was worried was turning itself into a five part series...its now going to be a six-part series and I've still yet to write the first story. Meh...I felt like banging my head, but the problem is I like what will now be the second story even if I only have the first paragraph written. At least part three and four are finished. I'm very much into reminding myself that spring break is coming up and hopefully I can get caught up on some things then.
I'm actually starting to feel better as well, even if it's snowed heavily the last few days.
