Tutoring was good, wonderful even. We went over mostly lab stuff since I feel pretty good about the lecture material and it's the lab teacher I have trouble understanding. I also downloaded the lecture podcasts and plan to listen to those either later today or tomorrow. I have a 70 pt homework assignment in Stats and a 35 page paper to read in Cognition. I also have a little bit of Chapter 10 to finish for Cognition, but it's nearly done.
I also talked to an advisor for the Nursing program. I've recieved my letter. I'm in. Even if I don't pass this Anatomy class. I do have to have the Anatomy classed passed before I can take my 128 clinical, but there are about four to five clinicals I have to take before that one.
So while I'm going to be busy, I am considerably less stressed than I was.
The election last night was exciting. I had planned not to really pay too much attention to it until later when there wasn't too much suspense left. Then I went to a certain Student Lounge to study, not realizing that that particular lounge was where Student Senate was holding it's election party. Needless to say I ran into several people I hadn't seen in awhile, did some homework/studying and enjoyed the free food. So yeah, I saw the whole thing. It was good. I was feeling wonderful about it. Then I read some news this morning. While the marriage bans in three states should upset me, I know the one in California will be fought. The thing that worries me the most is the ban passed in Arkansas that makes it so unmarried couples can't adopt or foster children. They tried to do that in Ohio a few years back, but thankfully it was shot down before it got very far. Still this passing in any state scares me. They don't let everyone get married, but you have to be married to adopt or foster children? It doesn't make any sense, the only one that this law is hurting is all the children who might have found a good home.
