Michigan was survived.
I rode up with my Aunt, and cousin Elizabeth. First we dropped off my Aunt's son and Elizabeth's brother Evan with another Aunt at a Boy Scout Camping thing then we headed out to Michigan. My Aunt had prearranged to stay at a cousins, which meant unlike had I gone with my parents I got to sleep on a spare bed and take a shower. The bed was a luxury, the shower...I'm still just slightly weirded out that no one in my family, not even my brother's girlfriend were going to pack shampoo. I was all like um are you nuts?
So anyway we stayed out cousins house and went shopping at midnight for supplies for the things my Aunt and this cousin wanted to make for the grad party the next day. I wandered off and looked at a few things, Elizabeth semi followed me but did her own thing and we lost them, then found them, then lost them again. The second time we lost them we searched the whole store for them and they must have been moving or we missed a spot because we couldn't find them. Then I spoted a guy with a Wolverine Action figure and I asked if they had Colossus because I was going to buy Peter once, didn't, and haven't found him since. The man looked at me blanking and asked who I was talking about cause he didn't know what character I was refering to. I shrugged and asked where he got the toy, figured I check it out myself...which being that they were two dollars cheaper then they are in Ohio it was a good idea to check them out. Peter wasn't there.
However my cousin did find Light Sabers and we had an improptu sword fight in the middle of the toy aisle. She won by cutting off my leg, I almost had her too. So we put the little toys away and went looking for my Aunt again and luckily managed to find her.
The party itself was rather dull. Mostly I sat around in my parents camper and read. My brother got a game of volleyball started, boys against girls at first but then three more girls came over to play including the guest of honor (the graduate) so another girl and I went over to the boys team.
Then they finally, finally served the food and wouldn't you know it pretty much all the good stuff that my Aunt had made was nearly gone buy the time I got up there. I managed to get a small portion of the taco pizza she made.
Then I played some cards with my brother and his girlfriend. We tried to explain to her how good a movie Velvet Goldmine is, she has yet to see it. Hedwig and the Angry Inch are Chad's and her top movie priority, since they borrowed it from a friend so it'll probably be awhile before she sees Velvet Goldmine.
Anyway, pulled my cousin Elizabeth into a game of cards. I actually learned a new card game. Yeah for me.
My brother and his girlfriend decided to go for a walk and Elizabeth and I went back to reading the seperate books we'd brought along. Then another game of Volleyball got started and Elizabeth dragged me off the camper's bed and made me go down their with her and play. So we played in the rain, boys against girls again (don't ask me why...it was fun, we din't keep score). That eventually broke up and we intermingled the teams again until we got done playing. It was actually fun.
Later I decided that I was going to ride back home with my Aunt, because she was leaving sooner then my parents and I really didn't feel like being the only other one sleeping in the tent with my brother and his girl. My brother was highly upset with that decision because that meant my Dad would want them to sleep in the camper again. As luck with have it, I guess they did find other people to sleep in the tent with them. Anyway I informed all concerned parties of my decision which earned me a speech from my dad about making my own decisions since now I'm 21. My Aunt got me to do some jello shots with her, my first time trying those and I can honestly say its the only time I've ever liked jello.
I acutally mingled for a bit. One of my cousin's is in a band and they finally got set up and started playing. It grew dark I got my stuff together, took it all to the camper and passed out on the bed. Woke up, mingled some more then went back to sleep in a cycle until we finally left around 12:30 am. Went to bed about 1:30 and had my Aunt wake me and Elizabeth up at 5:30 to head back to Ohio. She bought us breakfest.
And now I home again and that was my trip. Tomorrow since Elizabeth and her brother's mom is out of town I not only get to watch Andrew but them as well. We're going to go to the library and then a park in an attempt to keep my sanity because well you get the two boys together and you get no peace.
I wrote a bit, worried over the pieces I'd uploaded before I left and generally haven't finished anything but plotlines in my head.
I had some rather odd dreams as well.
