Where I work, we lost two residents today. They generally die in threes, so we're sorta expecting someone else to go soon. You don't want it to happen, but that's just how it is. The one guy was ready to go, he just was. The other seemed to come out of no where. I still get teary eyed just thinking of it. It's just so hard some days.
Then there are all the other residents. You comfort them, they comfort you and at the end of the day you keep yourself going for the ones that still need you, because they do still need you even though you still hurt.
