Tanya had told Adam that even though it was their fifth anniversary he didn’t need to make a grand gesture. She was secretly pleased when he blindfolded her. Now with the blindfold removed, she looked around in confusion.
“This is where I played my first baseball game.”
“It’s where I fell in love with you for the first time.”
Tanya smiled and turned towards him, realizing then he was kneeling on the pitcher’s mound and holding out a ring.
“I thought it’d be the best place to ask you to let me love you for the rest of your life.”
