Plot Bunnies are evil, char bashing is bad...

I'm working on a Kim centered Torchwood/BTVS/Power Rangers x-over. It's becoming a series and the first story is fleshed out, just need to finish writing it. Am trying to decide if the first story is going to be one very long one-short or a chapter fic. At this point I think I'm leaning towards chapter. If/when it turns into a chapter fic I'm tempted to just post it on here and then when it's finished start posting elsewhere. Sound good? Or would just be posting everywhere be better? I really don't want to end up with another WIP that has to be set aside because school is my main focus lately.

One other problem: Kim is not getting along with Gwen.

At first I thought this might be because I didn't like Gwen, but no Kim just doesn't like her. They start off on the wrong foot and while I think that a few stories into the series they might settle their differences it's not likely to happen in the first fic. I can still hope though right? I don't want this to turn into a bash Gwen fic. I don't like char bashing. I don't want anyone to be ooc.

Hmm, you know, I don't think Kim does like Gwen. Like, that seems very in-character to me, that they wouldn't exactly get along. And I do rather like Gwen.

I'm no Torchwood expert (I watch it, but don't do much in fandom) but that's my two-cents anyway.

I haven't done much in the way of fandom either, but it's good to hear from someone else that it feels IC for the two not to get along. Makes me feel a bit more confident in it.
