Three days into the job and the person they hired me to replace is already gone. Works okay, actually. I already feel attached to the clients/residents which is good. They're all interesting in their own ways. Helped get people dressed today, and did my first feeding. Am being eased into everything, which is good. I still feel like I'm behind almost, but Debbie pointed out to me that I'm still learning, so not to worry about it. I just don't want to move to slowly, which is actually okay on weekends as no one goes to work or school so they can take their time getting up in the morning.
School's good so far. Think I'll do well in my science class, the teacher's really good and he's teaching both the lecture and the lab which will make things easier. Am doing okay in my Philosophy class so far, scored a B on the syllabus test, which isn't too bad except that it's standard for that to be the highest grade that you score in the class. Guess I will have to try and go against the norm. We had a forum discussion, and one of the girls wasn't clear on what she was saying she simply stated that she agreed with somethings and disagreed with others. I asked her to clarify her answer and when the instructor answered the forum question he pointed out how I was doing things correcting. I'm going um, I'm still not sure I'm getting this philosophy thing, I was just asking her to clarify what she was saying. eep! Oh well I have until Sunday, and then I have my first test in the class.
Talked to my brother about the art classed I dropped. He's meet James, and thinks he's cool. He also meet Amanda and thinks she's funny. Then he asked if this other girl was a friend of mine, I said yeah, but we really don't hang out much. He said she's a certain b-word. I genearlly agreed and said that's part of the reason we don't hang out anymore, she's actually very fake. He was all 'yeah she seems to be trying hard to do the doom and gloom thing.' So generally, when you find yourself complaining about a friend more then you do enjoying their company, they're not a friend and you're wasting your time because you're not really a friend.
In more exciting news it's snowing! Our neighbor cleared our driveway and now I'm free to go play in it, which I probably won't but the though and prospect of that idea are fun. Usually I dislike snow, this year I love it for some reason.
