Arthur Miller died on the 12th.

My favorite comic book character died yesterday.

My great uncle got put in hospice this week. He's my mom's father figure because her own parents were so awful. He's been slowly declining for years.

On the good side of things I made a lot more on this paycheck then I thought I would. I also managed to say, "I dated someone with gender dysphoria," without the person I said it to looking at me like I was crazy or not understanding and that was a good feeling.

Don't try to explain gender dysphoria to college kid in your writing class, they look at you like your crazy and try to insist that gender is this rigid thing and you're either male or female, which I stopped believing a long time ago.

Anyway we went over our stories in groups of four during class. I ended up writing about my first boyfriend and one of the girls Amanda was all, "I thought you said you were gay." (as if because I'm a lesbian that means I've never dated guys)

Then Donna's all, "Wait your gay, when did this happen."

Had to explain that I'd come out last week, after she'd gone home. Then had to explain that I was more comfortable writing about my first boyfriend then my first girlfriend and also that since I hadn't been 'out' to anyone that I wasn't sure how anyone would react if I'd written about my girlfriend.

Amanda was all about how she was open-minded and wouldn't care. Donna expressed the same opinion. Then Shandel said that she wouldn't have been able to read my story if I'd written about a girl.
