I resigned as President of the GSA. It was hard to do, almost heartwrenching, but it's what I needed for my sanity.
Announcing it was hard, I thought I was going to start crying because I had so strongly believe in what this club could do, what it stood for and then to have watched it warp into something that it was never intended to be. And then as soon as I was done the VP turned to me and said, "Is that all? Usually you have more to say." I was so infuritated it took a walk down the hall during break for me not to get in my car and drive way. My last day is the day we're running the Rave, this Friday.
Am not going to think about the negatives though. I'll have more time for my grandma. I'll have more time for school work. I'll finally have time to plan trips out of the house with some of the residents. The first thing I want to do is take my favorite resident for a walk! So excited about this, he's been asking to get him out of the house for awhile and he loves taking walks through the park, and if it's cold I could take him to the mall or the nature center. I can't wait. It makes me so happy.
And then I finally ran into Veronica yesterday, I hadn't seen her in forever and I had the wrong phone number for her so I hadn't been able to call her. We managed to get caught up and now I have the right number. So yesterday other then the meeting being strained was good.
