So I was coming home from the gym yesterday when I saw a strange car pulling up mine and G-mom's driveway. I was all, "What's this? Who's that?"
So I pulled in after them, and got a shock...the driveway had three cars in it and was crawling with people, some of them kids. I was all ahhh people! Seriously my heart started thumping and my head was going 'get away, get away'. The part of me that could still think rationally was going...are these relatives that decided to stop for a visit late at night? Who are these people and what do they want with my grandma?
Seriously, if it wasn't my Grandma in the house I'd have left, but I had to know who they were and what they were up to, because the last thing anyone does is upset my Grandma. Then one of them came over to my car. She was all wrapped up in a colorful blanket with a flushed (it was a bit chilly) and happy smile on her face. I knew her! Well sorta, I couldn't really place her, but I rolled down my window anyway.
It was the church, they'd come to carol. Oh. All my getting worked up died quickly. I got invited to sing along and since it was for my grandma I did. It was sweet. My grandma came to the door and started crying she was so happy and felt so loved. So I went to the door and gave her a kiss and rubbed her back. They gave her a fruit basket and then all lined up for hugs. My grandma was so happy. It was so sweet of them.
