My bad day's finally starting to get better.

I had a rough day today. I didn't get any sleep last night, about an hour. I finally fell asleep at 4, but needed to get up at 5/5:30 if I was going to make it to class on time. Today was my first day back to nursing classes, it was my clinical. I should have just called/e-mailed my instructor and told her I couldn't make it due to being ill, as I didn't feel well the last few days and for some reason couldn't sleep last night. However I didn't want to miss any of my clinical time so I pushed myself and went in. When I got there I relized I'd left my name tag at home. Then when I went to go pass my meds my instuctor informed me that the cards I'd put together that gave background on each med I was suppose to give were done insufficently. I didn't have all the infromation that she'd wanted on each card on my cards. I'd misunderstood the assignment, read the outline for the cards incorrectly somehow. Probably cause I haven't been feeling well and work sapped most of my energy this weekend. She gave me a defficency for it and I need to fix my cards to make up. Thankfully I was at least able to verbally explain each drug to her sasifaction.

I was supposed to meet my ex for dinner today, but after class all I really wanted to do was go home and take a good nap so I called her and canceled. When I finally got home I decided to take a shower before my nap because after working in a nursing home I always take a shower. Despite the fact that I had finally started to feel tired the shower woke me up. So I decided to start redoing my med cards (They're basically a write up of each med we're suppose to pass). When I pulled my PDA out of my lab coat I realize that the donut I hadn't eaten for breakfast but left in my car had somehow come into contact with my lab coat and well I'm currently still soaking out the chocolate stains.

I finally took a two hour nap and called my mom to vent. Then things started to get better. I found out my cousin went into labor! She's having a little girl and she will likely be in labor till tomorrow. My aunt and another cousin dropped by for a short visit with my grandma and me. Then I started on my homework. I have every assignment due tomorrow, except the essay for English, finished. The English essay should be easy though so I'm going to save finishing that tomorrow and instead go work on redoing my med cards. I'd like to have them up to par by class tomorrow. I had one of my classmate show me his cards and figured out what else I needed to put on the cards. I've also color coded them this time into meds I pass, meds the client gets but I don't pass and PRN's.

I needed a short break though. Hence me posting and venting.
