What was this class?

I'd heard that the actual class time for my nursing class was silly, but this is just...first we talked about what happened in clinical, which I felt was helpful as it got us all to share experiences and give new perspectives. Then we watched a video that was one of those rather old contrived things. Then there was math practice which consisted of our teacher standing at the front reading them off and having us answer. How is that practice for anyone not doing it right? Also up until now in the program we haven't been tested on grains, apparently this semster we will be. Thankfully someone used the conversion, but she could've at least gone over it with us when it become clear that most of us didn't know anything about measurements in grains. All we got was this confused look and 'of course we'll be doing grains' when every other teacher that I've taken say that grains are not used anymore.
