I would really like it if this Lorne fic quit expanding. It's difficult enough to write SGA/DW together, but when did 'lets show up find the bad guy and catch him' turn into so much drama? Also while I like the idea of Lorne/Nine/Jack, that would be rather temporary since Lorne would be staying on Atlantis and Nine/Jack/Rose would be leaving...so how about a hint of romance with someone else? This would work if I could decide on a pairing.
Speaking of pairings...where does my mind come up with this stuff? Seriously where do I get Justin from PR would be great with Mini!Jack from SG-1? And how does that simple little idea turn into a full fledge plot bunny?
Also Zhane keeps taking over Learning to be a Team. I'm thinking the next chapter will be about him before I jump right into Andros training on Earth with Trip.
That's muses, but this break I finally finished out the Dr. Who I was behind on and am almost done with S5 of SGA. I have one disc left. I almost didn't make it this far. The amount of medical fail keeps me from getting actually engaged in the story. The part that annoyed me the most is that everytime Keller messes up instead of my head going 'damn writers can't they research' it instead goes 'where's Carson? He's have done this right/fixed this already!' Silly head.
Remanants made me smile though. Cool to see Parrish again and the throw away line about Lorne was fantastic! David Nykl was completely brilliant. Part way through I was just staring going that's not Radek! OMG that's not Radek! I mean he was all Radek like, but he was just off a bit. He worked Rodney, but then there was these subtle things that just weren't Radek, like the way he repeated this one line. I really liked the conclusion too. Set me up for expecting too much from Brain Storm. Seriously, would a throw away line from Rodney about how the problem would've already been solved if he'd had Radek to bounce ideas off of have been too much to have put in...cause that would've improved the epi for me greatly. Keller is finally starting to grow on me, but not liking the Keller/Rodney...feels too much like Rodney is missing Carson and displacing those feelings onto Keller.
I have to admit I've finally seen the McShep. Up until this season I could see it, appericate it, but it never really excited me. Then they started bickering and I was all 'oh, now I get it'!
There is also a decent amount of Lorne this season. Everytime I see him or Radek I get more excited then I should.
