1: How did you get into PR?

When I was a kid my parents took the TV away, basically they canceled cable, and then kicked us (my brother and I) outside. I don’t think they took into account that we’d get as muddy as we did, but we lived near a creek so it was inevitable. Most TV time was at my grandma’s so I grew up on Batman, Gilligan’s Island and Reading Rainbow. The show we watched with my parents was TNG. XTRAS made it in there somewhere, but I really have only one childhood memory of Power Rangers. It’s that scene in the Green with Evil saga where Kim confronts Tommy in the Youth Center, telling him that she knows he’s the green ranger and then he looks at her and says, “Well pink ranger…” you get the idea. I remembered that and I think there might have been some vague notion that Billy wore coveralls, but that is all the PR from my childhood.

I didn’t actually get into PR until OO was on the air and the first season I actually watched while it was airing was JF. I got into PR because there was this girl I wanted to date. We’d tried things once before and wanted to try again, only while we had common goals for life we didn’t really have a lot of common interests. She loved PR and well I kinda am a Marvel and Sci-fi kinda gal. I do love superheros in brightly colored outfits so it seemed to make sense to give PR a try. She started me with DT and NS and now I can say I’ve seen most of every season, been to my first con and am completely addicted.

Things didn’t work out, we’re still friends, but hey I gained this really wonderful fandom.
