Tuesday it usually my D&D day, but every other week is devoted to Star Wars. Due to lack of people able to come and such we haven't done any gaming in 3 weeks and I've just gone (drove half an hour) to hang out. Last week I provided taxi service so they (my friend from class and her husband who runs the game) could sell some books and movies. So yeah. This week was to be Star Wars and since I haven't even played that yet I was more than willing to have a day at the movies with my best friend.
Last night I got a text that they had decided to play D&D tonight. I said sorry I made plans. It was explained to me that they had played Star Wars that night and hence the D&D on the wrong week. I didn't change my plans with my friends and am assuming I didn't get an invite to impromptu Star Wars because they knew I was at work.
Anyway I went to the movies with my friend. We were going to see 3 movies orginally, but by two we were both done. I have had a growning headache all day so well yeah. Spoilers ahead!
Can I just say wtf! I liked the Star Trek references, the Highlander reference and of course Alpha (opps I mean Dutch). I especially liked when Dutch busted out some Alpha-like moves and then was all 'sorry old life'...crossover anyone? I kinda liked that I got a few of the epi references too and I liked that the female lead pitted the two bad guys against each other. Most of the movie had me going wtf is up with this bad writing. James and I just kept looking at each other and groaning. I thought maybe I missed something huge by not seeing the second movie, but James reassured me I hadn't.
Go Alpha! Kick evil butt.
