I'm dog sitting. I agreed to work from 3a to 3p today. Of course I had to let the dog out before I went, but I let him out with about 5/6 minutes for him to run around and me to change my clothes.
Yeah, that's not working so well. I've already called my job to let them know I'd be late. He is not coming when I call him.
I was late to work last week (only the second time I've ever been late in the 4 years I've worked there) and this was supposed to be making up for it as well as earning me some overtime. Now I'm going to be late again.
I know a short running around the yard to pee isn't enough, but I gave him as long as he wanted last night and then spent some time with him once he came in and he can have that again as soon as I get home from work. I'm fustrated, but at the same time don't see the point in screaming and running around the back of the house. There are only so many places he goes in the yard, but its a big yard. He should hopefully finish patroling his yard soon.
