Warning: Nate is grieving is dad's death. References Mick self-harming in the episode Welcome to the Jungle.
Grief:
Nate doesn’t want to get up. It’s easier to sit with his grief if he doesn’t move. Mick brings him water and watches him drink it, then frowns at him. Nate is too tired to prod.
“Are you in the jungle?” Mick asks.
Nate considers, remember Mick’s distress over meeting his father. Both their fathers are dead now. “I’m hurting, but I don’t want to hurt myself.”
Mick grumbles, low and under his breath. He sighs, then takes off his boots, before crawling under the covers with Nate.
Nate cuddles close. He sighs when Mick kisses his forehead.
“Thank you.”
