Cody smiles as Rex drops onto his bunk and presses close, hooking one leg over his and resting his head on Cody’s shoulder. Cody wraps an arm around him, rubs at his back, then shifts slightly to kiss his forehead. Rex tilts his head so Cody can reach his lips. Rex hums a tired, but please noise, into the kiss and Cody can’t help but smile. The peaceful moments they can find together are few.
Cody sets Rex’s datapad down to tease. “You have several trashy Jedi romance novels on here.”
“Reading parts aloud to my general makes Ahsoka laugh.”
