Healing:
Clare winces as Maddie walks in clutching her arm, face contorted in pain. She scrambles over and touches Maddie’s arm carefully. She whispers a spell to dull Maddie’s pain.
Maddie’s eyes widen. “Thanks.”
“I’ve hurt myself a lot trying to learn magic,” Clare reassures. This, at least, she knows how to fix. “Did you hurt yourself trying to do a spell or was it not while doing magic?”
“I fell,” Maddie admits. “We were helping some of the villagers rebuild their homes.”
Clare nods, fixing the cut.
Maddie gasps. “Can you teach me how to do that?”
Clare preens. “Sure!”
