Admire:
Gia watches as Emma spreads the pictures out slowly. She’s printed several of them out to help her decide which to send in with her application. Emma tilts her head and wrinkles her nose, considering. Gia presses her lips together.
Emma turns. Gia smirks. Emma sighs, before leaning in and kissing her forehead. Gia laughs.
“You’re supposed to help me pick, not examine my face,” Emma chides gently.
“Hey, I like your face.”
“Pictures first.”
Gia turns, picking one up. Emma’s captured a small blossom in a sea of thorns. “I like how you can see things others might miss.”
