My Grandma is the best.

"Well aren't you going to call him?"

"I'll call him when I return my movies."

"If my boyfriend called me..."

"He's not my boyfriend."

"I think you should give me his number."

"Why?"

"So I can keep track of your man for you."

"He's not my boyfriend."

"Well he's a boy, and he's your friend."

"He has one."

"One what?"

"A boyfriend."

"Oh, oh my."

"Are you okay with that?"

"Yeah, whatever."

The last time I saw The Shawshank Redemption I suddenly for the first time realize it could be taken as a very sweet love story. I'd never realized that before, but it's actually very gay and comes across as a love story. Then I read Love the One You're With by James Earl Hardy and imagine my surpise when the protagonist goes on a date and see that movie and he and his date discuss the gayness of the movie. I had to share. It's only four paragraphs because I wouldn't want to ruin the book for anyone who might read it.
